10 Days Grand Tour

Day 1: Sarajevo Old City tour:

sightseeing tour of the Old Town in Sarajevo – Bascarsija. Visit to the City Hall, Gazi Husrev-bey’s Mosque and Clock Tower, Emperor’s Mosque, Latin bridge and other historical places. Tunnel of Hope, ‘’war museum’’.

Day 2:  Nature trip:

sightseeing of, Olympic Mountain – Bjelasnica, nature park Husremovac – known for its diverse vegetations, and healthy, pure, healing water. Visit  village Umoljani, one of the oldest villages in Bosnia.

Day 3   River Drina:

travel to Gorazde for a trip on the river Drina with stunning natural scenery, a chance to see wildlife, learn about Drina Valley ecosystem and enjoy nature. Barbequeue food will be prepared and served on the river trip.

Day 4:  Travnik – Jajce tour:

Travel to Travnik – the city with strong oriental cultural heritage. Visit to Elci Ibrahim Pasha’s Madrassa, Colored Mosque, Medieval Fortress and the ‘B;ue Water’ spring. Proceed to Jajce, ancient capital of Bosnian Kings. See the 22 meter high Waterfall – one of the top 10 most beautiful waterfalls in the world and unique for being in a city. Travel to Bihac (northwest Bosnia).

Day 5  Rafting on the river Una:

A full day rafting on the river Una which is one of the most beautiful and cleanest in Europe and surrounded by stunning scenery.

Day 6 Cazin – Bihac – Sarajevo:

sightseeing of Bihac, the capital city of the Krajina region Visit to Fethija Mosque and Captain’s Tower. Proceed to Cazin with its medieval castle Ostrozac (from 13th century) One of the few medieval castles in very good condition. Inside the castle is outdoor museum for modern sculpture.

Day 7: Sarajevo culture:

Visit to the Sevdah Art House, a museum for the traditional music of Bosnia and Herzegovina – sevdalinku. Visit ‘Svrzo’s House’ which shows life of a Muslim family in the late 19th century. Visit ‘Despic House’ – the first amateur theater in Bosnia. Visit to the ‘Yellow Bastion’ the historic city walls above Sarajevo for great views and taking photos of the capital city. At the end of the day visit to ”Spring of the river Bosna” – for a relaxing walk through the long avenue . You can also take a carriage ride or bike in beautiful nature.

Day 8: Herzegovina tour:

Journey to ancient town of Konjic – famous for its wood craft.  To Blagaj, famous for the incredible spring of the river Buna – one of most beautiful in Europe and the 400 year old Dervish ‘Tekkiya’. Proceed trip to the Mostar city – ‘’The pearl of the Adriatic’’. The famous Old Bridge in Mostar is one of the most valuable piece of Ottoman cultural and architectural heritage anywhere and one of the top 20 most beautiful bridges in the world. Visit to the marketplace,  Ottoman  Muslimbegovic House, the Koski Mehmed Pasha’s and Karadoz-Bey’s Mosque.

Day 9:  Herzegovina tour 2:

travel to Pocitelj – a unique  historical town under UNESCO protection, with its stonework and artist colony. Continue to Capljina to visit the Roman ‘’villa rustica’’ – Mogorjelo that dates from the 4th century. Visit to Kravice, a stunningly beautiful 120m high waterfall on the river Trebiza

Day 10: Farewell Bosnia:

Free time in Sarajevo to strolling around, enjoy sightseeing, taking photos, shopping, buying souvenirs etc and saying farewells to your new Bosnian friends before departing to airport.
