Our 4 days tour is ideal if you have limited time or a long weekend break and want to get a flavour of Bosnia Herzegovina. You can learn about the history and culture and discover beauty of the country, with tours of the capital Sarajevo and Mostar – the main city of Herzegovina province, as well as places in between.

Day 1 – Welcome to Sarajevo

Arrive in Sarajevo and check into hotel

  • Visit the city’s cultural and historic sights, centred in the old town – the Bascarsija
  • Visit the historic mosques, churches and synagogues of Sarajevo
  • Learn about the Bosnia’s history through Sarajevo’s Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian architecture as well as the landmarks of past wars- World War I, World War 2 and the scars of the 1992 – 95 war
  • Enjoy lunch and dinner at Sarajevo’s famous restaurants, where the local food is natural, organic and delicious
  • Return to hotel and overnight in Sarajevo

Day 2- Sarajevo’s nature

After breakfast, depart from the hotel to the outskirts of Sarajevo city:

  • Visit Ilidza to see the source of River Bosna, set within beautiful nature reserve and enjoy a horse and carriage ride down a scenic tree – lined nature area
  • Visit the 1984 Winter Olympic sites at Bjelasnica and Jahorina mountains
  • Take a fine barqueque lunch in the fresh air of the surrounding hills of Sarajevo areas
  • Return to hotel and overnight in Sarajevo

Day 3 – Herzegovina day trip

After breakfast we will departt from hotel heading south by road to the Herzegovina region:

  • Journey through a beautiful green and mountainous countryside and through the famous Bosnia Tunnel, passing from Bosnia to Herzegovina
  • Take opportunity to buy local produce such as honey, cheese and pomegranates along the route
  • Visit the ancient town of Konjic on the Neretva River,
  • Visit Mostar with its beautiful old town and famous Stari Most bridge – a UNESCO World Heritage Site
  • Visit the 400 year old Sufi tekkiya at Blagaj located by the the stunning source of the Buna Spring
  • Visit to the historic town of Pocitelj- a UNESCO heritage site with artist colony and great architecture
  • Lunch and dinner will be at one of the many exqusite riverside restaurants located along the route where we will enjoy grilled meats or fish
  • Return to Sarajevo, overnight in Sarajevo

Day 4 – Farewell and departure

After Breakfast, free time in Sarajevo

  • Strolling around Sarajevo, enjoy coffee in Barcarsija
  • sightseeing, taking photos, shopping, buying souvenirs etc
  • Farewells to your new Bosnian friends
